2 months old already!

Am I handsome, or what?

Brayden had a big weekend!Friday night our friend Jason Mauch came to visit from the big CF (Cedar Falls, IA). I left the boys at home while I went grocery shopping. They managed to all survive :) Saturday both our families came up and we celebrated Brayden's great grandma Mary's 65th birthday. Saturday was also Brayden's 2 month birthday. I can't believe that he's 2 months already. Time is just flying by. Sunday was a big day for Brayden, his Baptism. His Auntie Jenica and Uncles Jamie and Bryce were his sponsers. He was such a good boy. He slept the entire service and thru the water on his head. We had a big dinner afterwards at our house. It was my first big meal that I had served and it went very well.

Brayden and I packed up and headed back with my family to spend time at home. Joel's coming later in the week. Brayden will get to attend his first basketball game at MHS and watch his uncle Bryce play.

Well, more updates later.

8 weeks old!

This last week was Joel's last week of working from home. I don't know what I am going to do when he's not around. It's been extremely nice to have him around.
Saturday Brayden had his first professional pictures taken. He did such a good job and was smiling the whole time. He was a trooper! This week Joel went to Arizona for work so Brayden and I were home alone, it was good but we were so happy to have Dad home!

My 1st Turkey Day!

This holiday weekend we traveled back to ND to spend with the families. We had Thanksgiving day in Fargo with the Coppin's and then went to my parent's house Friday. He got to meet his great grandpa Downs for the first time.

Brayden had 2 showers this weekend. The first shower was on Friday night at my parent's house and Sunday he had another shower at his great grandma Mary Meyer's in Wapheton. A lot of people came to both and gave such wonderful gifts! He will have to change outfits at least a few times a day with all his cute clothes. Thank you to everyone who came!!

Today Brayden is 6 wks old already!! He's really starting to be fun. The last few days he's been really active kicking his legs and moving his arms. He's also smiling a lot when you talk with him. I can't imagine what we did before. He's brought so much love and joy to our lives.

1 Month Birthday!

Wow, I can't believe 1 month has gone by! It seems just like yesterday that he was born. Sorry for not updating earlier with his pictures. A few weeks ago Brayden made his first trip to ND. He did so well traveling, sleeping the whole time! What a good boy. He got to meet his great grandparents, aunts and uncles. Thanksgiving weekend we'll make the same trek back home.
Should be lots of fun.

Welcome Brayden Joel Coppin!!!

Brayden made his debut on Monday, October 17th at 8:49pm. He came in weighing 7lbs/15oz and 21 1/2 inches long. Good thing we were 9 days early, otherwise he might have been a pretty big baby :) He is so beautiful, if we don't say so ourselves. I think he looks like both Joel and myself. He's perfect!! It's so amazing to finally meet the little person that you have been carrying around for so long. It's such an unforgetable experience!

All Brayden's grandparents, his uncle Bryce, and great grandma Mary were there to welcome him to the world. They were all anxiously awaiting his arrival, this is the 1st grandchild both both families and great grandchild for all but my grandma Helga (#24)!

We were scheduled to go home on Wednesday night but Tuesday night I had spiked a fever of 101 and we needed to stay at least 24 hrs w/o another spike. My fever would come and go so I was hooked up on antibiotics and we FINALLY were able to come home on Friday. They didn't know why m temp was spiking b/c everything came back negative, perhaps a virus of some sort. Joel was a "SUPER" Dad and husband taking care of us. That's why we were unable to post the GREAT news until this morning. Last night was our first night at home and it went pretty well. His great aunt Cindy Domres stopped by to welcome him home.

Please check out more pictures of Brayden and family at:

My last day of Pregnancy!

37 Week Tummy Update!

Wow, we are Full Term now and I am huge!! It could happen at any time. Very exciting but a little scary too. We are ready for him to come. The time has really flown by fast. It's hard to believe that I found out on my birthday back in February and it's already October. When we found out it seemed like 40 wks would never come! I hope he comes early so that I can put him in a cute little Halloween costume........I am thinking he could be a little pumpkin or something. Maybe if he gave me a hard labor he will be a little devil, we'll see.

Brayden's Room

Here's a quick pic of his bedroom. It was hard to get it all in one shot so this was the best I could do. He has a vintage cowboy room (above the crib the sign says "Sweet Dreams Little Cowboy" and the frames are made of old barn wood which I will put black and white photos of him sleeping when he gets here). It's really cute so if you want to see it all you have to come and visit! The weekend of the 23rd we had my family and Joel's mom and grandma Mary come to help get it ready as well as the basement. We couldn't have done it without their help!! Thanks guys!!

Baby Shower

On Wednesday, Sept 21st my friend HaiVy threw me a baby shower. It was so nice! I had so much fun and Brayden got a TON of great things!! That night we had a really bad storm roll thru, the sirens were going off but the party went on. I think a tornado had touched down north of the metro and a lot of people were without power. I will have to post some pictures later.
Thank you to all who were there and for the great gifts!! We really appreciate everything!!

34 Week Tummy Update!

Today we had our 34 wk appointment. Everything was looking great. His head is still down so he hasn't moved since the last check up. This weekend Joel and I have a lot to get done! We are getting the basement ready for the office to move and the office ready for Brayden's room. I will post some before and after pictures. USA Baby called last night and said the crib was in!! That makes me feel better b/c it wasn't supposed to be here until his due week. I don't know if anyone else thinks this is rediculus but they were going to charge $120 to deliver and set up the crib. No way! Anyway, now we'll have his room all ready.

My prediction is that he'll come around Oct 15th. I don't know why I have that feeling. Maybe it's the full moon around then. My instincts thus far have been correct but I don't want to be sad if he ends up being stuborn like his dad and coming 2 wks late.

Well, I need to keep cleaning the office. Looks like a great weekend!

The weeks keep flying by.........where am I again?

What a sleepy week! I can't believe how tired I get these days. I think it's all the extra weight I am carrying around. Yikes. Last week Joel and I started our first of our 5 wk series "preparing for baby" classes. They haven't been bad. Joel hasn't fainted watching the videos. I for one am a little creeped out when I see them. Oh well, he's gotta come out one way or another. Reality, is starting to set in. 9 1/2 weeks left! I am also really starting to have mommy brain. I forget everything and never remember where or what I was just going to do. I have heard this does not get better.

Here's a photo of Joel and I in Denver last week for his cousin Ted's wedding. We had a great time. We visited a lot of Joel's family and also I got to see my friends Kim, Lisa, and Crystal (and their men). Lots of fun but I was tired by the end of the trip.

We are in our third, and final, trimester!

We can't believe how fast this time has gone! 13 more weeks until we meet Baby Brayden! After a wonderful vacation with Joel to Medora, Yellowstone, and Lake Sacajawea with very hot temperatures, high altitude, and lots of visiting with family I am feeling excellent. This year has been the hottest summer since Joel and I have been together and I am prego, go figure. But it's all worth it. We get a wonderful gift in the end.

16 weeks

AnnieBear on May 13th! Starting to have a little tummy. Today we had our 16 week appointment with Julie Rice. AnnieBear was told- No more Hotdogs, No more heals, and More Stretching. Shsh......Needless to say Annie didn't take that very well. But all is well and this time was the first time I heard the baby's heartbeat (again around 140). It was truly amazing! One more month till we find out the sex- boy or girl...........I am betting on girl. Posted by Picasa

12 Weeks

AnnieBear on April 11th! Is there a baby in there? Today we had our second Dr appointment with Dr. Hammen. Unfortunately, I was unable to be there as I was in San Francisco for work. Annie heard the baby's heart beat for the 1st time. It was around 130-140 beats per minute. Everything checked out A-OK. Posted by Picasa
