"Look at Me"

Brayden's new favorite sayings are....."Look at Me", "Stop it" (not liking that one so much), "UhpyDuhpy", and basically is repeating every word we say.....need to be extra careful! He's growing up so fast. This week at school we also had a a huge break-through. Every time I would leave Brayden at school he'd get really clingy and cry a little when I would go and when I would come and get him he was having so much fun he didn't want to leave. So I knew it wasn't that he didn't like it. This week, Miss Rachel took him to the swings and he said "Bye Momma! Momma be back"! I was so proud. She says he's really blossomed this week in school by being more outgoing, helping his friends and participating. Our little man, growing up so fast.

Not too many pictures this week but here are a few:

Thomas the Train!!!

Friday morning Brayden and I went out to Golden to the Colorado Train Museum to see Thomas the Train. Wow, all he could talk about on the way out was Thomas.......Mommy got lost, low on gas, and a wreck trying to get to our 8:30 train departure.........we were late. Mommy was in tears thinking she was late and that her little boy wouldn't get to ride Thomas (sold out all weekend) but the ticket handler at will call must have known that I was on the edge and he put us on the 9:15 train (THANK YOU!!!). We had a great time. Brayden was in heaven seeing all the trains. There was a firetruck that he got to sit in and a petting zoo (a "mean goat" head butted Brayden right into the poop, it was lovely). Sorry no pictures of that one.

Can't stop looking at the train...

Thomas!!

Great Grandma and Grandpa Downs in town!

My grandparents were in town last week. Grandpa Ron had a telephone convention so it worked out perfectly. Sunday night we went downtown and took a horse carriage ride. Brayden sat in the front with the driver and absolutely loved it. Hank, the horse, was quiet a hit! Monday night was Grandpa's 71st birthday so they had supper at our house. It was so much fun to have them visit us!

Fun times being a Toddler

Trying to walk in wedges and golfing is not as easy as Mom makes it look!

I like to play in my sandbox, except there is not much SAND! Hum???
(previous owners left this and dumped all the sand in the rocks???, what's up with that??)

I decided to try on my baby sister's clothes, a little tiny but I got them on!

I wanted to snuggle with my bike, it wasn't as cozy as I had imagined.

How can they resist me??

Labor Day Weekend

This year, Labor Day was a first for us. Joel can't remember a Labor Day weekend he hasn't been at the lakes in his lifetime and for me it's been about 10 summers. Even though this weekend marks the end of summer and cleaning up of the lake cabins it's still always a great weekend (weather not so much) so it was a little sad for us. We did spend our weekend laboring, no not me pushing yet, but working. Joel actually didn't have to work this weekend.....a first since we've been here, so I put him to work. We painted the baby's room, met more neighbors, went to the mountains and had a BBQ at Tom and Mitch's. Here are some pictures throughout the last week. We had a great family weekend together.

Getting Ready for PINK! (Joel's 1st painting experience, he did OK) More baby girl room pictures to come.......

I like this mountain driving......I get to eat all the Cheetos I want too!!

We stopped in Boulder at a little festival. Brayden loved the firetrucks!!

Of course, driving a train might top that!
